Best Ab Exercises

How would you like the body of a gymnast? Well, with some simple techniques and a bit of determination you can. Firstly, we need to build your core strength so lets focus on your abs.

With your abdominal muscles, variety is key as it is not natural to do hundreds of sit-ups day after day. There are many muscles groups to work and the following 10 exercises will may be alternated to allow for variety and beautifully toned abs.

1. Bicycle Crunches
2. Knee Lifts on Captain’s Chair
3. Crunches on Ball
4. Crunches with Vertical Legs
5. Torso Track Machine
6. Crunches with Arms Extended
7. Reverse Crunches
8. Crunches with Heel Push (feet towards the ceiling).
9. Ab Roller Machine
10. Plank

Two or Three sessions a week is recommended. Work within your comfort zone and focus on a few different techniques per session. Remember that an exercise that is effective for one person may be ineffective or uncomfortable for another person so experiement a little.

Fortunately you dont need to buy anything special to work your abs. A stability ball is probably the best investment as it is extremely versatile for all types of exercises.
